Lalita: Pure Katan, Meenakari Kadhuwa Buttis
By Anwer Ji
Saree Story
I am Lalita and I have never met a room I did not brighten. My pistachio katan is the colour people gravitate toward without knowing why, and my meenakari butis are the reason they stay, pink and purple flowers hiding inside gold the way the best surprises always hide in plain sight. My border is shameless in its abundance, flowers and vines refusing to stop even at the edge. My gold pallu is where I finally take a breath, all that joy gathering itself into something quietly magnificent. I am the saree your friends will ask about before they ask about anything else. I always have been.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
Lalita does not try to be the most beautiful thing in a garden. She simply is. Her pistachio katan body carries large kadhua butis in gold with pink and purple meenakari flowers blooming at their hearts, each one placed with the generosity of something that has more than enough to give. The border runs in a continuous gold vine, the same meenakari colours flowering through it without pause. Her ivory-gold pallu is where the abundance gathers itself into structure, diamond upon diamond, the garden finding its geometry. She is pure katan silk and she is entirely unapologetically in bloom.

Fabric
Pure katan silk in pistachio green, fresh and luminous, the twisted silk threads carrying a softness that feels like the first breath of a garden in the morning. The ivory-gold pallu arrives in the same katan ground, now carrying the full weight of diamond lattice brocade. This is a saree that smells like joy, if joy had a colour.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
