Description

An Assam handwoven cotton saree in black. The pallu breaks into a dense magenta and orange geometric diamond weave, framed by an orange-striped selvedge. Scattered pink and orange square butis dot the body, closing in a mixed magenta-orange tassel fringe.

A Weavers Nest by Susant Ji works closely with weaving communities across Assam and the wider Northeast, sourcing textiles rooted in the region's culture and its natural fibres.Exists to keep old age techniques alive, rather than letting the craft's identity dissolve into a generic "handloom" label.
