Taara: Assam Handwoven Cotton
By Assam Weavers Nest
Saree Story
Black holds still against skin the way silence does, cotton dyed deep enough to disappear into itself. White resham butis scatter across me like a sky caught mid-blink. My border rises in diamonds of white and pale yellow, folding into the next the way constellations hold their shape. Cream tassels fall at my hem, pale against the dark. I am Taara, woven for the hours that ask you to be still and shine anyway.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
An Assam handwoven cotton saree in deep black. Small white resham butis are scattered across the body, gathering into a wide geometric border worked in white and pale yellow resham diamonds along the pallu edge. A striped white and pale yellow selvedge runs the length of the drape, closing in a cream tassel fringe.
