Sagarika: Kattam Silk Cotton Kanjeevaram
By Late Veeraraghavan Ji's Sons
Saree Story
Catch me under one light and I am blue, catch me under another and I have already turned to gold, the way the sea changes colour without ever announcing it. That shift is not dye, it is the SICO itself, silk and cotton woven together on the loom so the yarn catches light differently from every angle. My checked pallu wears this best, gold lines flickering over blue until you cannot tell where one colour gives way to the other. My border holds still where my body does not, small birds lined up inside neat squares, a steady procession against all that shimmer. I never look quite the same twice, and that is exactly the point of me.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
A SICO pure handloom Kanjeevaram in a deep blue that shifts to an olive gold shimmer depending on the light, with a checked pallu and a rich zari border worked in bird and geometric motifs. The silk-cotton blend gives it a firm, structured drape with a soft sheen, sturdy enough for a long day and striking enough for an evening. A saree that catches light the way water does, never quite the same colour twice.
