Prabala: Korvai Border, Coral-Pink Vairaoosi Kanjeevaram
By Kanchipuram Master Weavers
Saree Story
They named me Prabala, for the strength that doesn't ask permission to be noticed. I begin as coral, warm and unhurried, and by the time I reach my fall I have become magenta, one colour never quite letting go of the other. Across me, peacocks and elephants take their place, not scattered lightly but placed with intention, each one large enough to matter, small enough to leave room for the next. My border does not sit quietly, it moves in a zigzag of gold and magenta, korvai-joined by hand, a rhythm rather than a line. My pallu is where restraint ends entirely, a grid of gold so dense it becomes its own weather. I am built for the moment you want to be remembered.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
A pure Kanjeevaram silk saree in a warm coral-pink, shading softly into magenta, scattered with statement mayil (peacock) and yaanai (elephant) buttas in gold zari. The korvai-woven border carries a bold chevron pattern in magenta and gold, and the pallu opens into a dense diamond grid, richly worked edge to edge.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
