Paarija: 100 count Phulia with Statement Border
By Phulia's Padma Shri Cluster
Saree Story
I am Paarija. I carry the colours of a celebration that needs no reason. Coral orange deepens into marigold, the way an afternoon slips into evening without ever losing its warmth. Fine yellow stripes travel across my body like sunlight finding its own path, easy and unhurried. My resham border gathers stars and chevrons into measured rows, woven in gold and orange with the patience that only a handloom knows. My hundred-count Phulia cotton keeps me light through the longest summer days, settling around you like something you've always owned. I do not wait for Pujo or a wedding. Where I arrive, the celebration begins.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
Paarija is a warm coral orange Phulia cotton with fine yellow stripes that run across the body in lively rhythmic lines. The pallu arrives in vivid marigold, bright and without hesitation, framed by a resham border carrying layered rows of star florals, chevrons and geometric motifs in gold and orange. Made in fine 100-count cotton from Phulia, she is festive and warm and entirely at ease with her own exuberance. The twisted fringe at the hem falls in orange and gold, the last note in a saree that sings from the first fold.
Weaver
Days to make the saree
Every 100-count Phulia cotton saree takes around 8–12 days to complete. Fine cotton yarns demand patience at every stage—from preparing the warp to weaving each delicate pick by hand. What appears effortless when draped is the result of more than a week's work by artisans whose families have perfected this craft over generations.

Care Instructions
First Wash: Dry clean for the first wash to preserve the finish and the zari or resham border. Thereafter: Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid soaking for long periods. Do Not: Use bleach, harsh detergents, or wring the saree aggressively, as fine-count cotton fibres deserve gentle handling. Drying: Dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, to retain the richness of the colours. Ironing: Iron on a medium cotton setting while the saree is slightly damp, or use steam for the best finish. Storage: Fold neatly and store in a cool, dry place. If the saree has a zari border, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and avoid storing it in plastic. Refold it occasionally to prevent permanent creases.
