Meghna: Turquoise Handwoven Muslin Jamdani
By Phulia's Padma Shri Cluster
Saree Story
Meghna's Story: In Phulia, a little over two weeks in the loom, I was shaped by hands that have made restraint their craft. My gold vine grew slowly, branch by branch, leaves and ivory blooms settling into their own quiet rhythm. I never asked to be dense, only to breathe. I am muslin, so fine I hold light rather than block it, so light I move like breath, not cloth. Turquoise sits on me the way sky sits on a clear day, and fine Resham traces me the way memory traces a name.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
Meghna moves the way its name suggests, easy and unhurried. Across a bright turquoise canvas, a single gold vine branches loosely, leaves in muted gold catching the light while small ivory blooms open here and there along its length. The pattern stays light, more suggestion than statement, giving the drape room to breathe. A gold tissue stripe runs the border, closing the piece with a quiet shine. Pure muslin, unblended, from the weaving looms of Phulia. Easy to drape, easy to live in, made for days that call for colour without asking for ceremony. One garment. Two authors.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
