Lahar: 100 count Cotton
By Phulia's Padma Shri Cluster
Saree Story
Seafoam rushing up the shore left my body its crisp, clean white. Across my pallu, bands of soft aqua roll in like gentle waves, one after another. Along my edge, a teal border flows between twin bands where little fish swim beside star flowers in resham. Cool and featherlight, I rest on the skin like a sea breeze. I am summer by the water, wrapped in cotton.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
A Phulia handloom cotton saree in crisp white, light and breathable for fresh everyday drape. A teal border runs between twin resham bands of teal fish and star-flower motifs, edged with temple triangles. The pallu features a wide aqua band with layered aqua pinstripes across the white. Finished with hand-twisted tassels in white and teal. Gentle hand wash in cold water or dry clean.
Weaver
Days to make the saree
Every 100-count Phulia cotton saree takes around 8–12 days to complete. Fine cotton yarns demand patience at every stage—from preparing the warp to weaving each delicate pick by hand. What appears effortless when draped is the result of more than a week's work by artisans whose families have perfected this craft over generations.

Care Instructions
First Wash: Dry clean for the first wash to preserve the finish and the zari or resham border. Thereafter: Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid soaking for long periods. Do Not: Use bleach, harsh detergents, or wring the saree aggressively, as fine-count cotton fibres deserve gentle handling. Drying: Dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, to retain the richness of the colours. Ironing: Iron on a medium cotton setting while the saree is slightly damp, or use steam for the best finish. Storage: Fold neatly and store in a cool, dry place. If the saree has a zari border, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and avoid storing it in plastic. Refold it occasionally to prevent permanent creases.
