Kunuma: Handwoven Assam Cotton
By Assam Weavers Nest
Saree Story
White gives me room to breathe till the pallu fills with pink, kalka after kalka lined up in turn. Small butis scatter loose, buds not yet open. Tassels crowd magenta at my hem, already ahead. I am Kunuma, woven for the ones who bloom on their own time.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
An Assam handwoven cotton saree in white. The pallu carries alternating bands of pink kalka motifs and dense pink floral panels, framed by red diamond borders and a pink-yellow striped selvedge with a leaf trim. Scattered pink and yellow butis dot the body, closing in a magenta-pink tassel fringe.
