Kohra: 100 count Phulia Cotton
By Phulia's Padma Shri Cluster
Saree Story
Kohra is my name, soft as winter mist drifting over a quiet river. Ivory paisleys float across my dove grey body like dewdrops caught in the haze. Phulia cotton keeps me featherlight and gentle, a soothing whisper against the skin. A wide ivory border runs along my edge, and my pallu blooms with larger paisleys framed by bands of fine white stripes. Calm, cool and endlessly graceful.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
A Phulia handloom cotton saree in a soft dove grey, light and breathable for everyday drape. Ivory paisley buttis are woven across the body, with a wide ivory border along one edge. The pallu features larger ivory paisleys framed by bands of fine white stripes, finished with hand-twisted tassels in ivory and grey. Equally charming at the workplace, a cultural evening or a festive get-together.
Weaver
Days to make the saree
Every 100-count Phulia cotton saree takes around 8–12 days to complete. Fine cotton yarns demand patience at every stage—from preparing the warp to weaving each delicate pick by hand. What appears effortless when draped is the result of more than a week's work by artisans whose families have perfected this craft over generations.

Care Instructions
First Wash: Dry clean for the first wash to preserve the finish and the zari or resham border. Thereafter: Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid soaking for long periods. Do Not: Use bleach, harsh detergents, or wring the saree aggressively, as fine-count cotton fibres deserve gentle handling. Drying: Dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, to retain the richness of the colours. Ironing: Iron on a medium cotton setting while the saree is slightly damp, or use steam for the best finish. Storage: Fold neatly and store in a cool, dry place. If the saree has a zari border, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and avoid storing it in plastic. Refold it occasionally to prevent permanent creases.
