Kasni: Lilac Organza Banarasi
By Naushad Ji
Saree Story
They named me for the chicory flower, that tender lilac the dyers of Banaras call kasni. Hold me to a window and I turn to mist, a veil of kora silk so sheer it seems to breathe. Every golden butta on me was woven by hand, one by one, the zari carried across like a secret between old friends. Along my pallu, gold ripples in gentle chevrons, framed by a trailing bel of vines. I rest featherlight on the shoulder and linger long in every memory.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
A pure organza Banarasi in soft kasni lilac, handwoven on the looms of Banaras. Kadhua buttas in gold zari bloom across a sheer, luminous canvas, each motif woven individually by hand. The pallu carries a rich chevron zari weave edged with a delicate floral bel, while fine zari pinstripes lend rhythm to the drape. Crisp yet airy, it holds its structure and falls into soft, sculpted pleats. An heirloom piece for weddings, festive evenings and intimate celebrations.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
