Gulal: Rani Pink Kanjeevaram with Temple Gold Border
By Kanchipuram Master Weavers
Saree Story
They named me Gulal, for the colour thrown into the air at the first sign of spring, impossible to contain once it's loose. I don't scatter myself with small motifs the way some do. I am rani pink, whole and undivided, colour enough on its own. Only at my edge do I let gold in, and even then it arrives sharply, a row of flames climbing upward as if something in me finally caught fire. My pallu is where I keep my restraint for last, gold laid dense in a lattice, paisleys curling along its border like smoke settling after the blaze. I am simple until I am not.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
A pure Kanjeevaram silk saree in a vivid, plain rani pink, its body left unadorned to let the colour speak for itself. The fall breaks into a bold temple border in gold zari, jagged peaks rising like flames against the pink. The pallu carries a dense gold diamond lattice framed by an ornate paisley border.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
