Syahi: 100 count Phulia Cotton
By Phulia's Padma Shri Cluster
Saree Story
Ivory paper waiting for a poet's first word, that is how my weaver began me. Then came the ink, curling into black kalkas that bloom across me like verses. Between them run bands of fine black and grey stripes, neat as ruled lines in a notebook. A bold black border holds the page together, soft and featherlight against the skin. I am a love letter you get to wear.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
A Phulia handloom cotton saree in soft ivory, light and breathable for timeless everyday drape. The body carries black resham kalka butis, framed by a broad black border. The pallu features large floral-filled black kalkas between bands of black and grey pinstripes. Finished with hand-knotted lattice tassels in ivory. Gentle hand wash in cold water or dry clean.
Weaver
Days to make the saree
Every 100-count Phulia cotton saree takes around 8–12 days to complete. Fine cotton yarns demand patience at every stage—from preparing the warp to weaving each delicate pick by hand. What appears effortless when draped is the result of more than a week's work by artisans whose families have perfected this craft over generations.

Care Instructions
First Wash: Dry clean for the first wash to preserve the finish and the zari or resham border. Thereafter: Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid soaking for long periods. Do Not: Use bleach, harsh detergents, or wring the saree aggressively, as fine-count cotton fibres deserve gentle handling. Drying: Dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, to retain the richness of the colours. Ironing: Iron on a medium cotton setting while the saree is slightly damp, or use steam for the best finish. Storage: Fold neatly and store in a cool, dry place. If the saree has a zari border, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and avoid storing it in plastic. Refold it occasionally to prevent permanent creases.
