Pepa: Handwoven Assam Cotton
By Assam Weavers Nest
Saree Story
Pepas cover me row after row, red on white, each horn curved mid-note. My border echoes the same horns, smaller. Red stripes close my hem. I am Pepa, woven for the ones who carry Bihu in their step.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
An Assam handwoven cotton saree in white with an all-over red pepa jaal. Rows of the buffalo-horn pepa motif repeat in deep red across the body, framed by a matching border and a striped red-and-white selvedge, closing in a red tassel fringe.
