Saree Story
Mine is the gold of turmeric left to dry in the sun, deep, warm, and unwilling to be ignored. Down my body run pinstripes of brighter gold, close together, like a field ready for harvest. Have you noticed how a border can hold three colours and still feel like one thought? Mine does, purple carrying an olive green band, both giving way to a floral vine worked entirely in gold. My weaver understood that mustard needs no rescuing, only a border grand enough to match it. Run your hand along my edge and feel where the flowers repeat themselves, patient, unhurried, never once losing count. I am Peetambari, the colour of gold that has already ripened.

Description
A pure handwoven Kanchipuram cotton in a deep mustard gold canvas, ruled through with fine gold pinstripes running the length of the body. The border deepens into a rich purple, worked in a dense floral vine with an olive green band running through it. Comes with blouse piece.

Care Instructions
First Wash: Dry clean for the first wash to preserve the finish and the zari or resham border. Thereafter: Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid soaking for long periods. Do Not: Use bleach, harsh detergents, or wring the saree aggressively, as fine-count cotton fibres deserve gentle handling. Drying: Dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, to retain the richness of the colours. Ironing: Iron on a medium cotton setting while the saree is slightly damp, or use steam for the best finish. Storage: Fold neatly and store in a cool, dry place. Refold it occasionally to prevent permanent creases.
