Saree Story
Teal is a colour that refuses to sit still, somewhere between blue and green, and mine has settled comfortably into that in-between. Down my length run pinstripes of gold, fine and steady, catching light differently depending on how I fall. Have you seen how a border can hold its own conversation? Mine does, navy blue answering to deep pink, both carrying gold motifs that never once repeat themselves quite the same way twice. At my very edge sits a row of coral leaves, small and precise, the last word before the fabric ends. My weaver understood that teal needs a bold companion, not a quiet one, and gave me exactly that. I am Nilangi, teal at my core, bold at my border.

A pure handwoven Kanchipuram cotton in a rich peacock teal canvas, ruled through with fine gold pinstripes running the length of the body. The border layers navy blue and deep pink, worked with a coral leaf edge and gold motifs throughout. Comes with blouse piece.

Care Instructions
First Wash: Dry clean for the first wash to preserve the finish and the zari or resham border. Thereafter: Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid soaking for long periods. Do Not: Use bleach, harsh detergents, or wring the saree aggressively, as fine-count cotton fibres deserve gentle handling. Drying: Dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, to retain the richness of the colours. Ironing: Iron on a medium cotton setting while the saree is slightly damp, or use steam for the best finish. Storage: Fold neatly and store in a cool, dry place. Refold it occasionally to prevent permanent creases.
