Saree Story
Teal is a colour that holds both sea and sky in it, and mine leans fully into that depth. Down my length run pinstripes of gold, fine and steady, catching light the way water does at a certain hour. Have you noticed how a border can hold its own quiet ceremony? Mine does, a row of gold rudraksham circles sitting in a band of deep purple, each one whole and unhurried. Above them a cream temple edge keeps watch, small triangles standing guard before the teal begins again. My weaver understood that this colour needed weight at the border, not decoration, and gave me exactly that. I am Meenal, teal at heart, steady at my edge.

A pure handwoven Kanchipuram cotton in a rich peacock teal canvas, ruled through with fine gold pinstripes running the length of the body. The border deepens into navy and purple, worked with a row of gold rudraksham motifs and a cream temple edge.

Fabric

Care Instructions
First Wash: Dry clean for the first wash to preserve the finish and the zari or resham border. Thereafter: Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid soaking for long periods. Do Not: Use bleach, harsh detergents, or wring the saree aggressively, as fine-count cotton fibres deserve gentle handling. Drying: Dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, to retain the richness of the colours. Ironing: Iron on a medium cotton setting while the saree is slightly damp, or use steam for the best finish. Storage: Fold neatly and store in a cool, dry place. Refold it occasionally to prevent permanent creases.
