Mayuri: Pure Kanchipuram Cotton Saree
By Kanchipuram Master Weavers
Saree Story
A peacock once lent me its throat feathers, and I have kept that deep teal ever since. Along my plum border, golden mayil and mangoes walk together in a graceful row. Soft woven braids frame them above and below like a temple threshold. Fine stripes run across my pallu, and I carry myself with quiet pride.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
A peacock teal Kanchipuram cotton saree with a broad plum border. Alternating mayil and mango motifs are framed by braided woven bands. The pallu carries fine vertical stripes across the teal canvas.

Fabric
Pure handspun cotton, soft against the skin and light enough for everyday wear. The weave holds its shape through the day without losing the crispness that good cotton is known for, breathable in the warmth, easy to drape, and built to only get softer with every wash.

Care Instructions
First Wash: Dry clean for the first wash to preserve the finish and the zari or resham border. Thereafter: Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid soaking for long periods. Do Not: Use bleach, harsh detergents, or wring the saree aggressively, as fine-count cotton fibres deserve gentle handling. Drying: Dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, to retain the richness of the colours. Ironing: Iron on a medium cotton setting while the saree is slightly damp, or use steam for the best finish. Storage: Fold neatly and store in a cool, dry place. Refold it occasionally to prevent permanent creases.
