Madhavi: Lilac Handwoven Muslin Jamdani
By Phulia's Padma Shri Cluster
Saree Story
Madhavi's Story: They named me after the vine that flowers first, before the rest of spring has made up its mind. I have always known how to arrive, the lilac in me announcing itself gently but completely. My ferns don't just sit still, they lean in, curious, the way you do when someone across the room has already caught your eye. I was made for the kind of evening that turns into a story later. Wear me when you want to be the reason someone remembers the colour purple differently.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
Madhavi takes her name from the flowering vine of old poetry, the one that opens at the first hint of spring and draws every eye without trying. Her lilac holds that same quiet confidence, soft but impossible to overlook. Ivory ferns climb her border in unhurried rows, each held by a slim spine of deeper lilac, while small diamond buttis scatter across the body like petals caught mid-fall. Pure cotton muslin, fine enough to move like air, woven on the looms of Phulia. Easy to drape, easy to live in, made for the hours between morning and everything after. One garment. Two authors.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
