Kajal: Jet Black Kattam Kanjeevaram, Korvai Border
By Kanchipuram Master Weavers
Saree Story
They named me Kajal, for the black that lines the eye and makes everything around it sharper. So smart and modern, minimalistic yet traditional, worked in the age old korvai style. I am black the way night is black just before it decides to end, checked fine with gold that catches every light that finds my way. My border was woven apart from me and joined by hand, black giving way to maroon at a seam neither remembers making. Wear me and you will need more than a dot of kajal to ward off the attention.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
