Swarnalata: Yellow Handwoven Muslin Jamdani
By Phulia's Padma Shri Cluster
Saree Story
Swarnalata's Story: I am Swarnalata, the golden creeper, born under the care of a Padma Shri winning cluster that never rushes what it loves. Every paisley bloomed slow on my skin, maroon deepening over rust, held gently by green until each one found its shape. Small crosses drifted through me like petals that chose to stay. I am pure muslin, so light I forget I am cloth at all, only breath, only thread that learned patience.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
Swarnalata, the golden creeper, curls across a canvas of sunshine yellow. Each paisley opens into its own bloom, deep maroon roses layered over rust, ringed in dark green thread that gives the whole motif its edge. Small crosses scatter through the body like something falling gently, catching the eye without asking for it. A vine of florals runs the border, closing the drape the way a garden closes at dusk. This is pure muslin, unblended, off a loom that never compromises. A Master Weaving Cluster of Phulia, led by a Padma Shri craftsman, weaving muslin so fine it forgets it was ever thread. One garment. Two authors.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
