Sharad: Minakari Ivory Baluchari with Golden Elephant Butti
By Bishnupur's Master Weavers
Saree Story
Sharad's Story: I am the quieter sibling. The calm one. They call me Sharad. I am like the winter morning, when light arrives slowly, and there is a particular kind of quiet that asks nothing of you. A purity that you hold dear, a good habit, unhurried, certain, never in doubt. Pure Katan, handwoven, and I have never once needed to raise my voice to be remembered. I arrive gently, and I stay.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
There is a colour that belongs to early morning and temple marble and the first light of winter. This saree lives in that quiet. Across the ivory ground, elephant butti in saffron gold move through the cloth like a slow procession, unhurried and certain. At the border, an entire forest unfolds, figures among deer and flowering trees, a story the weaver has been telling for generations. Katan silk does not need to announce itself. On the body it settles quietly, moves with you and catches light the way only a pure weave can. This is a saree that earns its occasion. Sourced directly from the looms of Bishnupur, Bankura. No middlemen, no blends, no shortcuts. Only the cloth and the hands that made it. One garment. Two authors.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
