Rangat: Lightweight Kadhuwa Benarasi
By Naushad Ji
Saree Story
I am Rangat, and I couldn't decide between gold and silver, so I kept both. My magenta runs deep and a little electric, the kind of purple that catches every light differently. Down my length, leaf-vine stripes alternate quietly, silver, then gold, then silver again, taking turns without ever announcing it. My border is where I finally commit to one, a dense gold cascade of florals and vines, generous and confident against the magenta. I am proof that a colour doesn't need to choose its metal. It can simply wear both.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
Rangat takes her name from the Hindi for hue, shade, cast of colour, and this vivid magenta Banarasi lives up to it, shifting tone with every fold. The body is threaded with fine vertical stripes, alternating silver and gold leaf-vine motifs running the full length in disciplined lines. The border shifts entirely into gold, a dense band of florals and vines worked richly against the magenta base. Vivid, striking, built for the days you want a saree that changes character as the light does.

Care Instructions
Silk rewards patience. Dry clean for the first wash. After that, cold water and a gentle hand. Never wring it, never rush it. Dry in the shade — silk and sunlight are not friends. Iron on the reverse, low heat, while it is still slightly damp.
