Manjari: 100 count Phulia Cotton
By Phulia's Padma Shri Cluster
Saree Story
I am Manjari. I begin in the deep quiet of a forest green and open into coral red the way a branch does when it finally blooms. The broad stripes near my pallu are not decoration but transition, the colours finding each other gradually rather than all at once. My resham border carries a vine that has been in the weaver's memory longer than either of us can say. My hundred-count Phulia cotton keeps me easy through long days, settling into the wearer like a quiet habit. I am not a saree for waiting. I am what you wear when something good is about to happen.
Handloom Perfection
Handloom sarees are made by human hands, not machines. Which means every piece carries the natural variations of the loom and the weaver, proof that someone, somewhere, made this just for you.
Description
Manjari is a deep forest green Phulia cotton with a coral red pallu and a resham border carrying woven floral vine motifs. Broad horizontal stripes in warm terra cotta and grey run across the body near the pallu, easing the transition between the two colours like a conversation finding its rhythm. Made in fine 100-count cotton from Phulia, she is light and festive without trying to be. The looped fringe at the hem falls in green and deep red, holding both ends of her story together.
Weaver
Days to make the saree
Every 100-count Phulia cotton saree takes around 8–12 days to complete. Fine cotton yarns demand patience at every stage—from preparing the warp to weaving each delicate pick by hand. What appears effortless when draped is the result of more than a week's work by artisans whose families have perfected this craft over generations.

Fabric
Crafted from fine 100-count cotton yarn, prized for its exceptional softness, airy drape and feather-light feel. The finer the count, the finer the yarn—creating a fabric that is breathable without feeling coarse, with a graceful fall that only improves with every wash.
Technique
Saree with Blouse Piece
This saree does not come with a blouse piece. We recommend pairing it with a sleeveless or short-sleeved blouse in coral red to echo the pallu or deep forest green to stay rooted in the body.
Care Instructions
First Wash: Dry clean for the first wash to preserve the finish and the zari or resham border. Thereafter: Hand wash separately in cold water using a mild liquid detergent. Avoid soaking for long periods. Do Not: Use bleach, harsh detergents, or wring the saree aggressively, as fine-count cotton fibres deserve gentle handling. Drying: Dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, to retain the richness of the colours. Ironing: Iron on a medium cotton setting while the saree is slightly damp, or use steam for the best finish. Storage: Fold neatly and store in a cool, dry place. If the saree has a zari border, wrap it in a soft muslin cloth and avoid storing it in plastic. Refold it occasionally to prevent permanent creases.
